Pastor Sarah Omakwu’s ministry exists to worship God and to demonstrate His transforming love to man in order to make us an agent of that love. To encourage and challenge individuals to use their gifts, resources, and to commit their lives and time to serving God.

Her belief that the gospel should be ‘good news’ to the weak and vulnerable has been the drive behind Family Worship Centre’s large-scale support of widows, orphans, prisoners and people displaced by sectarian strife.

Pastor Sarah Omakwu and her late husband Pastor Ina Omakwu returned to Nigeria in 1993 and founded Family Worship Centre in April same year.

The church, which started with only 47 members, has grown phenomenally to over 8,000 regular worshipers and currently supports over 100 missionaries and mission agencies in Nigeria.
