Okechukwu Ezea is a Nigerian lawyer, businessman and politician. He was elected to represent Enugu North Senatorial zone under the platform of the Labour Party (LP). He is the executive director Ideke Shippings.

Education

Okey Ezea attended University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he obtained a degree in law.

He attended the Nigerian Law School Lagos.

And further obtained a Masters degree in Political law from University of Lagos.

Career

In 1993, Okey Ezea launched his shipping and logistics company Ideke Shippings Limited. His business springs across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Warri, Bonny Island and Calabar.

Politics

Okey Ezea joined politics in 2003. He unsuccessfully ran for Enugu state governor in 2003 and 2007.

In 2023, Okey Ezea picked nomination form to represent Enugu North Senatorial zone in the National Assembly under the platform of Labour Party.

He defeated the incumbent governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the general election.
