Biography Intro: His Excellency, Hon. Arc. Yusuf Barnabas Bala was born in 1956 in Kagoro, Kaura LGA in in ECWA Theological College Kagoro.

PLACE OF BIRTH: Kagoro, Kaura LGA

EDUCATION: He attended Tagwai Sambo Manchok Modern Primary School and was acknowledged to be a brilliant student. After the completion of his primary education, the ambitious and hardworking young man was accepted into the Federal Government College (FGC) Warri.

He then obtained a Bachelors degree in Architecture from the University of Lagos before earning a Masters degree in Architecture with distinction from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in 1981. Shortly after graduating from ABU, he turned down an appointment as graduate assistant to lecture for 6 years in the University of Jos.
