Updated Tuesday June 11, 2019, The Day Of Inauguration Of The 9th Senate.
About 64 Nigerian senators and 151 members of the House of Representatives who served with the 8th assembly could not make it to the 9th Assembly, and therefore were not part of the June 11 inauguration.
According to the results of the elections released so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), only 45 senators and about 209 members will be returned to the federal legislature.
The upper legislative chamber has a total of 109 seats with 3 Senators from each of the 36 states plus one from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the results officially announced for the February 23 National Assembly elections across the country, APC won 62 seats while the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 44 seats.

The Young Progressive Party (YPP) is the only other party outside of the two dominant ones inaugurated to the 9th Senate with only one seat.
As of the time of publishing on June 11, 107 seats have already been officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Imo West senatorial district seat remains a matter of dispute, as well as the seat for the Imo East senatorial district.
